Board and train

Board & Train is the perfect solution for owners who may lack the time or specialized knowledge to effectively address their dog's behavioral issues. Many owners feel discouraged when starting training because they expect quick results, but training is a long-term process.

We take on the difficult first steps for you. Our goal is to find the most effective solutions, achieve visible results, and then provide you with the necessary training to continue the work at home, ensuring that the new positive behaviors last.

IMPORTANT!

  • A dog can work intensively for about 20–30 minutes (depending on the individual dog). Working longer can lead to a loss of focus, making it harder to achieve results. It is also essential to have rest days for fun activities to prevent burnout and keep motivation high. During rest days, we do not allow dogs to run or play together; we work with each dog individually.

  • After the Board & Train program, we provide a training session of up to 1 hour to teach you how to continue the work. If you feel that working alone might be difficult, we can recommend a trainer to assist you on this journey.

  • Please note: If you do not follow the same rules, routines, and exercises at home as we did during the program, the dog will quickly realize this and return to old behaviors. In such cases, we cannot be held responsible for the results.

  • If you feel anxious, you are always welcome to visit us! You can speak with the trainers, and your dog can get acquainted with the environment.

Visits must be scheduled in advance!

Dogs arriving to address specific training issues must first go through these stages:

Adaptation
Every dog left in a new environment for the first time goes through an adaptation period. This typically lasts 1 to 3 days. In exceptional cases, if the dog is very sensitive, adaptation may take longer. Why is adaptation necessary? In a new environment filled with unfamiliar scents and people, a dog may feel insecure. It is essential to give them time to settle in and understand where they are. Usually, we do not work intensively during adaptation; we focus on simple, low-pressure activities.
Assessment
Once adaptation is complete, the trainer conducts a physical and behavioral assessment: we check if the dog knows training basics, how they react, what commands they know, if they walk correctly on a leash, if they recognize their name, and what motivates them most (food, toys). This is also when the trainer begins building a bond with the dog.
Program Development
After the assessment, we can begin creating a personalized training plan, detailing the methods and approach to be used. Methods may evolve during the process to effectively address the specific behavioral issues raised by the owner. All methods are discussed and coordinated with the client.
